As the Balsamic Moon reaches her farthest point from Earth, she aligns with Venus in early Virgo, both facing Saturn’s stern gaze.

After enjoying Leo’s glamourous light for the past 4 months, Venus entering Virgo and abruptly facing Saturn can feel like a stark, sobering comedown. It’s kinda like when they turn the lights on in the club, and the fluorescent lights reveal the reality of the place and the people around you. The glitz and glam disappears, the illusion is shattered, and you’re left squinting in the unforgiving brightness.

The party’s over, the saucy music stopped, and you’re forced to assess and figure out your next move.

This particular Balsamic Moon is highly charged as we wane in anticipation to the Libra Solar Eclipse on Saturday. Minutes can feel like hours when you’re waiting for the big reveal, and quite literally, the Moon’s speed is slowed as she reaches apogee.

It’s wise (🪐) to honor the end of a cycle by looking within and tying up any loose ends. When the finish line is in sight, and it’s easy to start prematurely celebrating and letting discipline slip. Dot your i’s and cross your t’s. Though it takes discipline and often feels tedious, the peace of mind is rewarding when you know every detail was handled with care.

Of course, a lot of this Virgoan analytical energy is focused on our relationships ♀︎. As we shed and release in preparation for the upcoming Solar Eclipse, we examine our emotional patterns and relationship dynamics to pinpoint what needs improvement.

The virtue of Virgo energy is in its gift for analysis, discernment, and willingness to do the work for self-betterment. Any hard truths revealed now can lead to meaningful progress if we apply them constructively. Assess what is working and what needs to be adjusted or released. This requires releasing pride and drama (Leo) to embrace practicality (Virgo).

It is a time for clearing out and improving how we express love – towards others as well as ourselves – by addressing the details mindfully.

At the same time, remember to be okay with everything not being perfect. Saturn’s presence reminds us that good things take time. This Libra Solar eclipse is ruled by Venus in her sign of fall, an uncomfortable position. However, the Libra Lunar Eclipse in May 2024 will be ruled by Venus exalted in Pisces.

While our analytical minds may try to control outcomes, Saturn in Pisces tests faith – can we see the bigger picture despite the issues Virgo reveals? Saturn in Pisces invites us to release narrow views. Open hearts ease transitions between endings and beginnings.
